Thank god for the ratings season

For any music lover, the return of Spicks and Specks, hosted by the ever gorgeous Adam Hills is something to relish. Tonight's show was great. Myf won (a rare occasion because Alan Brough is just far too freakishly knowledgeable about music most of the time), the cute drummer from Evermore was on the show and I could actually get most of the Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma songs correct for once. The Ten Tenors performed the songs tonight and I was shouting 'Under the Bridge' about ten times before someone pressed the buzzer. I also got Smells Like Teen Spirit before anyone did, although I was pleased Myf's team got the point for that one, after she once missed it in a round of Substitute. And the Substitute songs for Alan's team were all easy, but for Myf's team they were not.

The anagram round was far more difficult because the production team did not put the letters up on the screen until after the teams pressed the buzzer (grrr. I'm a visual person with words). And I knew Comfortably Numb was from The Wall and not Dark Side of the Moon too. So I felt quite smart. Tomorrow in the staff room we'll compare notes and gloat about our knowledge, as usual and someone will comment on how much of Myf's cleavage was visible. Thank god for the return of the ratings season.
