Because of the Times

Since I purchased this album on Sunday, I've been listening frequently to the new Kings of Leon CD Because of the Times. I quite like their first two albums Youth and Young Manhood and A Ha Shake Heartbreak but I have to say this one beats both of the others hands down. This is one of those albums that needs about three listens before you get into it. I like the songs towards the end of the album with the softer guitar sound like Ragoo, The Runner, Camaro and Arizona. I also like the opening track and the single On Call. But my favourite song is Fans, a highly addictive three minutes I've played over and over again. There are a couple of less likable songs but on the whole it's a great album. It's also been getting some great reviews. I think this is one of my favourite albums of the year to date. I also think I'll be trying to see the band live the next time they come out to Australia.
