Little Eve
In the end I didn't have to venture out to buy the new Kate Miller-Heidke CD because my sister bought it instead. I'll probably acquire my own copy soon, but in the meantime it's nice not having to wait a week to hear it. I'm about halfway through my first listen at the moment... it's a great album. Quite different from her EPs in many ways... a lot more instruments are featured, the songs are quite a lot more energetic and upbeat than the material she's recorded up until now. The stand outs are Words, the single plus Shoebox, Mama and Delay. I've got a feeling it will be played extensively over the next week or so. I've been quite good with CDs recently so it's probably time to splash out and buy the new Tracey Thorne soon. I sense a trip to JB HiFi coming on. It would be nice if some writing could accompany my musical inspiration now that the majority of my marking is done, but I'm not holding my breath for inspiration to strike. It does take effort eventually.
