Weekend Weaknesses

I bought some new music on the weekend and I did promise to comment about it at a future stage. So here goes. The Tegan and Sara album The Con is great, very easy to listen to and quite addictive. Favourites so far are The Con and Back In Your Head. The titles of the others haven't quite stuck, nor have the tunes but I'm sure they will before too long. It's sitting in my CD player at the moment, plus it's on my iPod.

Another purchase was Family Tree by Nick Drake which I discussed elsewhere. I haven't yet worked my way through it properly... it's a large collection, 27 tracks, some of which are very short. It's not the sort of thing you can put on to inspire you to do things you're procrastinating about, but it's an interesting collection. I think this is one I'll absorb more when my mind isn't full of bits of school crap.

I also downloaded the Regina Spektor song Real Love, a cover of the Beatles song which is on a charity album. You can get it on iTunes. And it's great, definitely worth owning. I wish the Jose Gonzalez single Down the Line would go on sale because it's also great and I couldn't find it on iTunes. Maybe later.
