After Tuesday night's concert, I thought I'd write a list of Top Five Moments of Audience Participation.
1. Ben Folds, The Forum (April 2005)/Hamer Hall (September 2006)
Singing along to Army is always fun. I've had a chance to sing both the trumpet and the trombone part, at two separate gigs.
2. Crowded House, Rod Laver Arena (November 2007)/The Forum (December 2008)
Singing the chorus of Weather With You is a great experience, surrounded by hundreds of other similarly obsessive fans.
3. Sigur Ros, Festival Hall (August 2008)
Clapping along to Gobbledigook was a fantastic way to end this set.
4. John Vanderslice, Corner Hotel (January 2006)
More clapping, this time to his song Pale Horse. The live version is so much better than the recorded one.
5. Support act to the Dresden Dolls, Corner Hotel (September 2006)
I don't remember who this band even were, but they got the whole crowd involved in a drinking song shortly before the main act came out on stage.
