More Randomness

More random tracks from my library of wonder.

Computer Camp Love, Datarock
I love the fact that it sounds like one of the Grease songs but then strangely subverts this idea. It's very funny, if bizarre. 'Ran into her on computer camp. Was that in '84? Not sure, I had my Commodore 64 out to score'.

Whoever You Are,
Geggy Tah
I think anyone who has listened to Triple J for a sustained period of time has heard this song. Need a reminder?
All I want to do is to thank you
Even though I don't know who you are
You let me change lanes
When I was driving in my car

Repeat multiple times. Get the idea? It's funny, though.

Crashing, Gersey
This one is on the soundtrack to Look Both Ways and is a pretty amazing song. It fits the film perfectly, where it is shown over a series of shots of characters undergoing various crises, and also features on the DVD as the intro music. The song matches the images of the crashing waves, the shark attack threat and the affinity some of the characters have with the sea in the film.

Cookies, Jacknife Lee
Now, this is the kind of electronica I like. Odd, certainly ('Did you say cookies? That's right, cookies.) But compulsive listening. I'm not sure if Jacknife Lee sings his lyrics or if others do it for him. I'm in hot pursuit of several other of his songs like Bursting Off the Backbeat, but these are hard to find.
