I just booked my ticket for the Gogol Bordello gig in April at the Metro. They're playing with a band called Flogging Molly (Irish gypsy punk) so they should compliment the Ukrainian gypsy punk stuff well. It should be a great show. Thanks to that and the Comedy Festival, my credit card bill is going to be rather large.
Also I found out that Josh Pyke's new album is released on the 10th of March which is a Saturday. This means I can get my copy on the actual release day instead of having to wait til I get to Melbourne or ordering it through the mail. Very exciting news. Lots of musical things happening soon. I'm also planning to go to see Something for Kate in May with my sisters at the Corner Hotel.

Yeah I decided to order Josh Pyke over the internet, instead of having to fight the hordes at the shops :) I am doubly excited because Idlewild, who I could say are close to my favourite band, is also releasing a new album. It is quite sad because most people have never heard of them.
