You've been alone since you were 21, haven't laughed since January

I did buy the new Josh Pyke CD today but I've been out all day, so I need more time to digest it before I write about it. I do like Lines on Palms more now, after having heard it a few more times. The letter 'w' is printed on the cover in a very strange way (almost upside down). I also bought the Suede Singles album at JB too. They had a whole pile of CDs on sale for ten dollars at the front of the store. I searched through the box but there was nothing else there I particularly wanted. Suede is good though. I've heard a fair bit of their stuff and finding it online is hard, since they go by the name London Suede in the US and their album Head Music is not available to buy on iTunes.

Anyway, I've had the Shins song Australia stuck in my head all day. It's a jaunty little track (I'm sure the sheet music would have 'jauntily' written in the opening section, instructing you to play it in this manner). It's another one of those songs that improves upon later listenings. The lyrics don't really relate to Australia at all, rather the song was written while the band was here on one of their tours. It's about a female office worker in a cubicle farm style building. Great song, highly addictive.

Hey Sara, what's on the Suede album? I've been lookign for a song of theirs called 'The Living Dead' for ages. But I think it might have been a B-side...

Yeah, it's not on this one (it's a singles album). I've never heard of "The Living Dead" but I don't know a lot of their stuff. I haven't had a chance to listen to much of the best of yet.
