You want to jump and dance, but you sat on your hands and lost your only chance

In the end I made the heartbreaking decision not to attend The Shins gig in August. It's at the Palace, not the Palais which is a less pleasant venue (and apparently has a low stage and me being shorter than most of the guys at gigs will be at a distinct disadvantage, going by my experiences at Something for Kate). Also it's expensive for a gig in that venue. Wilco was only $20 more and I got to sit down (and it was a great seat too). Plus I decided to save my days off without medical certificates for more pressing matters like real illness and trips to Melbourne for job interviews later in the year... I don't really mind too much. They're often here, after all they did write a song about the place.
