Still More Gigs!

Those of you who are more astute may have noticed that my list of upcoming gigs is growing. Usually there's a couple there, perhaps three or four. Recently the list has expanded significantly to seven, and that's not counting Spamalot which is playing in January as well. In two weeks I'm seeing the Panics, one of Mark's favourite bands who are playing at the Northcote Social Club. Then the week after there is Josh Pyke, followed by the Sigur Ros dance performance as part of the Arts festival (they're not dancing, just playing the accompanying music). Two weeks later and there's Crowded House, a much anticipated show. At the end of November is the Spicks and Speck-tacular (assuming the tickets didn't get pinched... they still haven't arrived). And then in early January there's Jose Gonzalez who we're seeing on the strength of his recently released album. Add Kings of Leon and you have a very full schedule.

I could blame the school holidays, except only two of these shows are on during January. I could blame Mark, although there's two he's not coming along to see. I could blame the summer music festivals but there's only one act I'm seeing who are playing the Falls Festival and that's Kings of Leon. And I could blame my expanding range of musical interests, a more likely scenario. At the end of the year there seems to be more on. It's going to be a busy few months!
