Seven worlds will collide whenever I am by your side

The most anticipated album of the year (at least by me) will be released shortly. The Sun Came Out, the new effort from Neil Finn's Seven World Collide project, is due at the end of August or start of September, although no confirmation of an Australian release date has yet been made. The album features the talents of Neil Finn, sons Liam and Elroy, brother Tim, Johnny Marr, Don McGlashan, Bic Runga, Ed O'Brien, Phil Selway, Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche, Pat Sansone, KT Tunstall, Lisa Germano and Sebastian Steinberg. It also apparently features various offspring of the above and Neil's wife Sharon.

The songs are set to be amazing with Phil Selway's The Ties That Bind Us one of the tracks I particularly can't wait to hear. Wilco is supposed to have You Never Know from their current eponymous album on this one as well, although it could be an alternative version of that song. There are some great collaborative efforts... Johnny Marr and Jeff Tweedy surely can only produce genius together. A couple of tracks from the gig haven't made the album, but plenty more has, as you can see at the link below.

Not only can you read more, you can listen here for a taste of what's to come.
