Maybe the sun will shine today

On the weekend, I booked tickets for Wilco at the Metro next March. So far there's only one show on sale, although there are online rumours of a second show the following night. The show falls in the middle of the school holidays, guaranteeing my attendance. It's a little unfortunate that they're playing at the Metro (the Palais is a much better venue... I suspect it's being renovated around that time), but I really can't complain. Getting to see Wilco twice in less than a year is pretty special. They are definitely in my top three bands now (and occasionally even take top position). I'm hoping this time to hear songs from Sky Blue Sky like You Are My Face, Hate It Here, Shake It Off and Walken, but also to hear songs I didn't get to see the first time (like Misunderstood) that they played at the second Melbourne show this year. I'll stop complaining about having to stand up- I think seeing Wilco play would distract me sufficiently from having sore feet.
