Last time I saw Ben Folds playing live it was with the MSO in September 2006. The time before that, it was in 2005 at the Forum accompanied by a bass player and drummer, just like back in the good old Ben Folds Five days. This time it's him and only a piano but as anyone who has heard his Ben Folds Live album would testify, this certainly isn't going to mean a less enjoyable or energetic show. Singing along to Army is always fun and the Palais is a great venue. I'm looking forward to hearing Errant Dog, Cologne and the other new material from Way to Normal played live.
With all the other musical events it promises to be a great few musical months. In June we see the release of Wilco- The Album and Regina Spektor's new album as well. Apparently a new Sigur Ros album is also on the way soon.
